Hi all, Ive started to exerience some massive FPS hits at certain payware airports. I can only deduce that its the airport packages themsleves as changing resoultion and render distance does not seem to effect it too much, even dropping from 1440p to 1080p has no effect.
The main culprits are:
Orbx Graz
Orbx Brisbane
Dwzeicki UUEE
All three of these really struggle. I have R7 5800x 32GB RAM and a 3060 TI.
I havent updated my graphics card yet to the patch the other week, ive been holding off.
I know UUEE really struggled on xbox but didn’t think it would have quite the effect here. It dropped to 5fps on take off. However i was trying out PACX and im not sure how influential that may have been?
Would any other third party addons be potentially effecting the sim, even though they are only used elsewhere in the world?
Any help appreciated.
Try lowering off-screen terrain pre-caching.
You’re probably running out of VRAM or main thread bottleneck.

Do you have any global airport pavement/taxi replacement textures in use?

Ive got the pack from the MSFS store, is it zinertek or something?
Try running the simulator without that pack to find out if that’s your problem. If it has been updated since SU6 you should be OK however, try it without for for a few runs of the simulator.

The reason for my thinking is because REX have very recently updated their REX Airport Textures to use/be compatible with SU6.

I think a lot of the add on airports require updates to be more compatible with SU6, especially some of the ORBX products. Hoping they’re updated soon as i’ve also noticed big drops in FPS with some airports after SU6 with the same settings.
Yes you are right. I found out yesterday that Dwziecki Design UUEE is having fps issues after SU6 and many people have flagged it on their forums. SO its a bit of a relief its not my system!
I also have problems with some Asobo detailed airports - Frankfurt for example. CTD while taxiing, and a really odd ‘backwards’ shudder. Maybe they also need updating!

Yep Frankfurt is hideous. Also I think Memphis was bad too. Both default airports.
