This problem has sprung up out the blue for me. After clicking Fly Now from the world map, the sim takes a painfully long time to load. When it finally does FPS is nearly non existent (1-2) FPS. After playing with empty community folder and experimenting I’ve discovered turning on-line functionality off and then back on restores performance to what I’m used to seeing. I booted the sim up this morning to check on something for a friend and everything was working just fine. I changed nothing in the 6-7 hours since then. Now suddenly I’m seeing this very strange behavior I’ve never seen before. Also starting in safe mode the problem doesn’t seem to happen regardless if my community folder is empty or filled with my normal mods I always use without issue. I have no idea where to even start with this.

I had that too, not on beta. Terrible loading times and sometimes it just sits there at 100% and won’t get to the aircraft.
Had several messages about losing internet, even before getting to the menu.

I’ve experienced this too a few times nowadays, it’s really weird. For me it was happening mainly when I loaded a flight with flight plan in the world map.
Not in the beta btw.
I have had worse performance today in the exact same place and aircraft that I was using last night. No changes in my system.
Also I seen some other players aircraft with just the green and red lights floating / taxiing around. No plane model. Switched to a different region server and that was OK then but it’s so bizarre how things change day to day and you don’t know what you are going to get. Grrrrrr
This server thing can be a good shout. On which one did you guys experienced this? I was on WEST EU.
I had the missing player aircraft on West EU too. Changed to North EU and I could see other planes but the performance was still jank compared to the previous day.
No I’m not doing the beta, I’m on the stable release. For the record it was on the USA East server. Now for the kicker…
As mysteriously as the trouble began, this morning everything has returned to performance levels I’m accustomed to normally.
From the nothing, today has this again…
Again.
This time I found out when this happens the CPU/GPU usage is very low like 10-15%.
