I would say some, not most - but all things are relative
So you only want people who agree with you to post? How open minded of you.
The only thing I noticed is more blocky terrain (trees and rocks especially) even up close and slightly more noticeable LOD drawing on anything but Ultra settings for both issues.
I got a 15 to 20% increase in FPS on High at Beverly regional airport on an i9-10950hk/2080 Super laptop.
So you only want me to agree with those who agree with my post? How open minded of you!
I think the hovering city lights is intended to produce a more realistic look from the sky. It gives a 3d look. It probably would help if they placed them on poles around finished airports and kept the hovering when further out. Maybe the hovering lights are just in the basic areas and not the detailed airports and cities?
So far I notice that ground is not loading properly. Today I fly around Tucson, ground is in very bad quality (blured, very blured), like doesn’t download any data, just some plane white buildings (at least that is how they looked to me from 4000 ft, no treas, roads were blured even when I was closer to the ground.
After that I take off from Teterboro airport, flew around NY, some parts of ground were blured, some not. Some building were good looking, some were like giant bush, bridges also. I flew really close to the ground, at some 500-1000 ft.
And last flight was from Sitka to Deadhorse. After take off from Sitka, everything looks fine, but few minutes in flight, again some ground tiles are blured, no single tree on them, roads again blured, but tile next to blured was looking just fine, lots of trees, snow edges on mountain peaks looks sharp, rocks looked good. Some seashore look fine, some is zig-zag line with sharp edge.
Don’t know is just me, or someone else experienced same thing? Before patch I didn’t had such problems.
The button tells you it is ‘live’. What more do you need to know? Do you question the integrity of the button? How dare you!
Yeah and the whole window goes deeeerp and becomes useless when it could Easily be used to clarify exactly when the live weather is working and not working because the user would have the information they need.
*button waves hand
This weather is live weather… You don’t need to know more…
I have same experience. Blurry ground quality in the distance, big cities look like flat texture.
Exactly! Now I see.
Live button means live weather. Un-Live button would mean Un-Live weather. That’s all you need.
See. Now, you’ll be forever happy. Ignorance is bliss. Go fly like a butterfly on acid! Flowers all around!
Something I was most looking forward too, was white water rafting over Niagara Falls in an A5, then rolling down the rapids like a circus performer in a barrel, seeing where if leads as I’ve never been able to observe more than a small section of that river on the ground.
But nooooo.
I will fly like a candy factory stuffed with malfunctioning fireworks!
I redact all my nitpicking.
Our search for aviator nirvana is over: We are already there.
Have you ever been in a aircraft at night over a city, I am afraid it lights up the ground as depicted in the game…
In a distance it was blury before, but that doesn’t bother me too much with some haze in the air it doesn’t look bad. That also lowers impact to GPU. But ground which is below me and close to me looking blury is not something what I want to see.
I can not tell about other cities, but last weekend I was in Sarajevo, gone to near mountain, went to spot where you can see Sarajevo like you are in airplane, when airplanes landing at Sarajevo airport they are lower where I was standing. From MSFS and what I saw, Sarajevo at night looks quite real.
I know, it was blurry even before but not that much like now. Big cities are completely flat textures, like big patches, it looks really bad.
Just noticed the same thing in the CJ. I set an anticipated lower altitude but did not initiate a descent. The plane descended anyway, prematurely.
Have you tried it in any of the other planes? I pretty much only fly the cj but am going to have to find something new now.
i think for fps it depends a lot on the system
i have an old cpu, overclocked but still old, 4790k, and a 2070, after the patch i have the utilizzation of the gpu always a lot higher than before… and i have 15 20 fps more with this patch, so maybe it’s that
With new pc you notice less maybe
