Texture Supersampling setting no longer present

+1 Exactly same issue. Was not there before neither in SU1 Beta update 1 nor the Stable release version.

Only happens around 1-20meters around the aircraft and not further down but looks very bad when taxiing/taking off/landing.

Yep! I am seeing the same issue. Shimmering just around the aircraft.

Why is this a problem, that they removed it while you can set it as an option in graphicscard app as functional.
At least it was possible before (haven’t used my Nvidia for a long time now)

As for the grooves seen at the runway is this not for rain to the drain

It’s not the grooves, it’s that they shimmer as you speed/move. You should look at the lower portion of your windshield when taking off and see if you see the shimmering or not.

I have been looking around at EKVG in default scenery but i did not see any of it no groove or shimmering. Tried in different ways and angles but i could not se.

Maybe try to dissable displacement mapping and reenable does something for you

Or maybe it is the add on from flightsim.to but than it would not be Asobo’s problem for there decission to remove supersampling

The default airport will not have the groove texture on the runway as it’s only default so the issue will not be seen.

There are default airports with grooved textures, I found one yesterday. Will look in my volanta log and post it here again, so asobo can take a look for themselves.

Spawned in on runway 03, very clearly visibile and this is a default airport, so asobo can check this out easily themselves like this
