Ok, maybe. I have finished three flights in FS24 and so far no problems. The only small issue I’ve encountered was one of the flood lights control, being on when it shouldn’t be but moving the knob a little bit there and back solved it. I’m happy it works as it works. This, PMDG 737 and iFly Max are (were) only planes I was missing.
Yeah, I’m pretty happy since I added the MD-11 to my 2024 rotation – the bugs I encounter don’t discourage me from flying it. Now I just need one of the 737s. Preferably an NG, but I’ll take a Max if it comes first.
Actually I’ve just read that iFly Max is now available as working experimental build for FS24…
She’ll officially be in MSFS 2024 Mon Jan 12
A beautiful trailer. I’ve been flying the MSFS2020 version in MSFS2024 for a longer time now but I can’t wait for the native version and improved graphics!
Hi guys ! GOOD NEWS, the MD-11 will be released tomorrow for MSFS 2024 (native version) !!!
I uninstalled the 2020 version today. I’m also ready ![]()
Very much looking forward to this one. I have had 2020 uninstalled for 7+ months now, and can’t be bothered to “fake” a 2020 installation to let aircraft installers work.
I also refused in the beginning but then I missed this beauty too much. And after those months I got pretty rusty too!
Keen to see if they’ve updated most of the bugs and deficiencies in the native 2024 version. Will be buying if so — has the 2020 original ever been on sale?
I was flying the 2020 version quite extensively and system-wise I don’t know about any serious bugs or deficiencies. Are we talking about the same plane? Because there’s another MD-11 made by different company and that’s a different story.
There are “bugs” for those like me who are running the current unsupported version in FS2024, notably the need to run layoutgenerator.exe for each Navdata update, and the interior cockpit night lighting is unpredictable at times. Other than that, it’s very solid, at least to this non-RW and non-“rivet-counter” pilot.
Looking forward to this updated bird. $5 USD well spent for FS2020 purchasers. Unsure if I’ll get the passenger version and the Extended Pack, which gives failures and working circuit breakers. Maybe eventually…
I already own both freighter and pax variants, so the 2024 update + extended simulation will both be well worth it.
I confess that I’ve never been interested in the pax version (to me this plane is a cargo workhorse icon) but I bought the pack because it was not that expensive and I wanted to support the developers. I consider 5 USD for the upgrade as very generous and I wouldn’t have an issue with even a higher fee.
some of the classic pax liveries are great, I’m partial to the bare metal American and classic Delta… I wish Delta would do a classic livery on a modern jet
Sounds tempting, I’ll definitely check it out. I never even loaded the pax version… ![]()
