Thank you Asobo and Microsoft!

Flight Simulator was released a day before my Private Pilot flight test (that’s what “checkride” is called in Canada). Thanks to PHENOMENAL VFR accuracy, and flight model of steam gauge Cessna 172, I was able to practice all maneuvers, including a calculated cross-country .. and…

!!!PASSED MY FLIGHT TEST!!! Now officially a Private Pilot!

Not sure why everyone is complaining, but this is truly a revolutionary training tool and will enhance the safety of many pilots. Fantastic job Asobo and Microsoft!!!

Oh and .. P.S. here’s my “Courchevel challenge” → https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/oR1yqgH4bLk managed to get to #32 at the time of making the video (yesterday). I’ve used all techniques my CFI taught me and I’m impressed how accurate the flight model is.

Congratutaions! I got my PPL back in 1993 and although I haven’t flown for many years I vividly remember a lot of my training, going solo, the checkride and the elation at having done it. The ultimate adventure of a lifetime for me. At the time I had an Atari ST with flight sim and even then it helped me with a lot of IRL flying. Cheers!
