The 737 Max is great

Is this talking about the BREDOK3D version of the 737 MAX that’s in the marketplace? If not, have any of you tried it? I want to try it but I’m hesitant based on the thread here.

Thanks.

Look… The Bredok one is awful. It looks like we will have PMDG’s 737 this year. Just wait for that one. It will be a world of difference. You have an A320NX to fly for now, and a CRJ! No need for another short-range jet that is poorly done.

PMDG 737 NG3 will hopefully be out by the end of the year as BostonJeremy777 said, and there are two freeware 737s in development currently with the hopes of being high fidelity; a 737-800 and a 737-300. I’m sure those freeware ones will be more than adequate compared to the Bredok 737, so I’d just wait

Thanks @BostonJeremy77 and @DrkstKnight55. I’ll definitely wait. I’m ok with the Longitude.

In all fairness the latest update has ruined it.

Positives:

  1. External model is very good
  2. It’s a 737
  3. It flies
  4. Autopilot mostly works
  5. Cockpit vaguely resembles a 737

Negatives

  1. Cockpit fidelity is poor with muddy low detail textures
  2. No gear compression or wing flex
  3. Sounds are just reused 747 sounds
  4. Not of sufficient quality to be sold for anything near the asking price.

Anyone here using the 737 Max know how to turn the cabin lights on? Or maybe this jet doesn’t have them?

Better to fly the A32NX now and wait for the PMDG 737.

Positives:

  1. External model is very good
  2. It’s a 737
  3. It flies
  4. Autopilot mostly works
  5. Cockpit vaguely resembles a 737

Negatives:

  1. It flies (badly)
  2. Autopilot mostly works??!!
  3. Cockpit vaguely resembles a 737? (not really. it vaguely resembles a cockpit)

Flies ok for me. Its been updated to the latest sim update, lots of paints for it and there is a flightdynamics mod and leap engine sounds for it. Its the only plane I have been flying for quite sometime and it never gave me any problems. Flew from Guyana to New York, 6 hr flight. No ctd, followed the fpl faithfully all the way, cruise speed veryconstant and followed, landed smack on the ils, and frames were very playable, 30 and up.worth my money, and just my opinion and experience. Please don’t bash because I respect everyone’s views. Ok.

This is a stop gap until the freeware 737 will release, as well as the pmdg, which I own and still fly on p3d. Not to forget my zibo is there, fully loaded.satisfies my 737cravings for now:grin::grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

That’s like saying the Ford Pinto is comparable to a Bugatti Veyron because you can drive it.

I’m beginning to think there are people here with a vested interest in PMDG. Ive never seen so many “wait for the PMDG” comments. I wonder why! I bought the 737 max. It flies as well as the flybywire if you ask me. All flybywire versions feel like a work in progress. I prefer the default neo. I personally don’t care for airbuses just as I don’t care for a Ford. But it was cheap. Yeah it’s not the greatest and could use some improvements but all the planes could. It’s fine for the time being. I don’t fell ripped off.

Vested interest in PMDG? Nah, only wish them success. Every time I fly this beautiful bird in P3D (today was the most recent), it feels like… a nightmare to fly this Bredok thing.

Flybywire itself is a work in progress to make it as close to the real thing as possible as in making as much systems and flight dynamics true to life! While this 737 though it flies is nothing close to the real 737 experience commented by real life 737 pilots where flybywire and universally praised by a320neo pilots…

That’s why it is said fbw is great work and the bredok 3D 737 is ■■■■…
It’s like saying arcade racing game is great while driving sim games like GT Sport is ■■■■ since the cars in the sim don’t go around corners as easy and as fast…

I am sure someone can make a pay ware of a macross Valkyrie plane in game and make it fly invincibly fast and dynamic or even transforms, but that’s nothing for simulation

I think it’s more a case of people have a vested interest in having a 737 that’s at the higher (highest) end of the scale, rather than one at the bottom. Still, for those wo can’t wait and are happy flying something as long as it looks like their favourite tubeliner, this seems to fill that niche nicely.

There’s definitely a demand for a 737 out there, but I don’t know if I’d even download this thing if it were free. It reminds me of something that blacksmiths call ASOs - anvil-shaped objects. ASOs are low-quality things that look like anvils but don’t perform like a proper anvil. This aircraft is nothing but a 737-shaped object.

For me, the most important things in a third-party aircraft are the quality/complexity of the cockpit and the accuracy of the flight model. From what I’ve read this aircraft has all but two of those items. I’m reminded of how ticked off I was several years ago when I bought the J-model update of the Captain Sim C-130. The cockpit, where I spend 98+% of my time when flying, was exactly the same as the versions that I already owned. NO!

If the group that put this abomination out there, and took money for it, had any decency they would stop selling it and release it as freeware. I am constantly amazed at what groups like FlyByWire and Working Title have done in developing patches and fixes for existing aircraft, and I’m sure that there would be plenty of people that would do the same for this thing, all for the good of the FS community. But I fear that the lure of quick cash for the minimal effort expended is just too great for something like this to actually happen, and they’re content to ride this one-trick pony until someone comes out with a 737 that’s worth more than $1.29.

I have the Bredok 737 Max since it became available. I enjoyed flying with it. Yesterday, I installed update v.1.3. Only to discover, that it makes MSFS CTD during the MSFS start-up. So I had to uninstall the Bredok 737 Max v.1.3.
I have mailed the developer about this.
I am wondering if others have the same problem.

UPDATE: problem solved thanks to assistance of the developer.

Do you have it? Do you personally own it or are you going just by what other people have said or youtube videos? The cockpit isn’t that bad. If you look at pics of a 737 max cockpit, everything is in the right place. There are some things that don’t work just like the default planes have things that don’t work. I’ve read all the dissing and I think they are all being way too hard on the developer. Some people just want to get in the sim and fly. This game, sim or whatever you want to call it is being played by more than just the snobbish flight simmer who wants a perfect flight model that matches the companies simulators. In fact I would say you are in the minority.

Mine shows v1.25 and no update available. Maybe he took v1.3 down
