Agreed. However, in the real world, and on many plates, the transition from STAR to approach is accomplished by vectors to the approach fix. This is where the AI ATC falls short in most cases. The easy fix is to modify the FP to maintain waypoint continuity. Eliminating all “vector” expectations from the plan will usually give a pretty solid ATC experience.
