I did read them. I fail to see anything that rises to the level of “show stopper”.
A few buttons on your autopilot dont work properly? Is that it? Some of the performance numbers arent 100% spot on? You act like the sim doesnt even start. Many more people are enjoying it with a few caveats. It is NOT unplayable. You are extremely overselling the issues.
and, adding to that: as well as myself, there will be so many people out there right now that won’t even find bugs, cause they don’t know what they are doing anyways.
i mean, i get the TBM 930 up and running and it get’s me “almost” everywhere but i’m probably not doing things like they’re supposed to be done. it’s fun, though and i’m learning a heck of a lot of things on the way. (<-- my mission).
cut the long story short: it’s working for “us” because, ya, we don’t know how to fly right anyways. the only trouble is, it seems to work this way - as crazy as it sounds.
i feel somewhat bad for the pros, though after reading the forums and the webz for quite some time now.
The pro IFR and airliner fliers are definitely in the worst spot. However, they also seem the most patient with this genre.
I started learning about 2 weeks pre-release date on FlightGear. Pretty much was ready to go on a 172 and a boeing 737 ifr flight. However, even I found that there were troubling issues with how some of the autopilots function. Especially the u-turn to beginning of approach bug and the lack of VNAV.
I’m little bit surprised that maybe you not see my other posts. I’m that one that haven’t any CTDs, stability and Update problems from beginning. I just want only functional avionics, FPL/FLT Load/Save Management working correctly, live weather +/- ok and Vatsim. Now also don’t have any problems with autopilot as is, I fly IFR without problems on Vatsim One thing what I care and afraid of are frustrated people, I feel their pane.
Went back to FSX. life is good again. It looks 70% as beautiful with the addons. Already had then, so no big deal. My forrcefeedback sindewinder 2 with fs forces cant be defeated. I will probably go back to fs2020 when the bugs are fixed and the studylevel aircrafts , and fs forces are available.
The standar 172 seems to have autorudder on even if you turn it off, its overall behavior is so strange on the ground and in the air… the sensitivity is terrible too.
How have you got forces working with an FF2 in FSX?
My FF2 stopped getting a return to centre force from FSX years ago after some god awful patch after which I was told all the simmers complained until forces got taken out cos it’s more realistic.
Dont use the forcefeedback from the game. You need to get the addon Fs Forces. Its has presets for all types of airplanes. But you can configure it for you personal taste. I think it costs 30$ but its worth it. Its a game changer. Manual flying, and trim will be a delightful experience. The developer is trying to adapt it for fs2020, but in the actual state of the SDK its impossible. You can download it for free and test it for 30min sessions around KSEA airfield.
Yeah. Dont lose it. There are people who buys 5 of them, just in case because its the best fb joystick ever made. Force feedback is so important for simulation, but for some reason i dont know why it got completely neglected. Someone said it has to do with patents…
