If you did Ortho4XP in x-plane, you know the problem. If there’s water in the world data, the algorithm does not put a texture, even if there’s a bridge or marina on the satellite image. It’ll just put water, with some fading. There are parameters to include x meters from the shore and use the imagery to create a texture. But this is a lot of work. Actually, I also thought that this is exactly the added value AI could bring to the table here. But since it’s AI, it can learn.
