This weekend we’ll be cruising along Bolivia’s Rio Grande. We’ll begin our trip in Arampampa, overlooking our first river to follow, the Rio Kicha Kicha. This will then lead us over the Rio Caine, which descends through Torotoro National Park. At the confluence of the Rio Caine and the Rio Molinero we find our namesake river, the Rio Grande. The area is sparse for airfields, so we will have three off field landings which are all sand/gravel bars along the river.
4 landings in total, 166nm. Highest point along the route will be ~8000 feet, but we will be departing at over 10,000 feet.
