Bush Divers would like to invite all to participate in this week’s Bush Divers Invitational: Sicily
This week the Bush Divers are in Sicily. This weekend will be the 78th anniversary of the start of Operation Husky, the Allied invasion of Sicily. We will depart from Malta, where the operation was devised, and fly north to the 7th Army landing sites. From there we will fly over the 82nd Airborne drop zones, the 8th Army landing sites and then cross the Yellow Line (the initial objective of the 7th Army upon landing). We will be following the Etna Line, where the Allies advance was stymied for weeks due to the rugged terrain at the base of Mount Etna, and then punching northeast at Troina, where Patton broke through. The trip will conclude with following the Axis retreat across the Strait of Messina, landing at Reggio Calabria on the mainland. Join us as we take part in this history filled adventure!
This week’s giveaway is a 25 Euro SimMarket Voucher!

Special considerations:
-Bring the piston or turboprop aircraft of your choice. This trip will be a bit longer than our typical Invitational (over 300NM) so keep that in mind when selecting an aircraft.
-LMML offers plenty of ramp parking. Meet us at the GA parking (Parking 15-27).
-Live Weather should be fantastic and a bit breezy. Local time will be 0900.
-Those interested in participating in voice comms can join us in the Bush Divers Discord event voice comms channel.
-We would appreciate your patience during this fly-in. The 1900 UTC start time will not be a hard constraint, we may hold at departure for up to 5 minutes. Our goal is not to leave anyone too far behind. So take it easy, get you a drink, and enjoy the trip!
We hope you can make it!
