The Desktop Window Manager process has exited please help

Hello everyone.
After around 1 hour in flight my monitor got black for a few seconds and MSFS CTD. Looking in the event viewer I spotted the following error followed by MSFS app crash

The Desktop Window Manager process has exited. (Process exit code: 0xc00001ad, Restart count: 1, Primary display device ID: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090)

I tried to search on the forum but no luck. It looks like a NVIDIA driver crash to me since my GPU has been working perfectly for the last year.
Anyone ever experienced a similar issue?

Matteo

This could be a multitude of things. First start by removing any overclocking if you have done so. If you are using anything such as MSI afterburner uninstall it. Next thing to do would be update your drivers. Do so by using DDU in safe and completely remove the existing drivers before installing new (clear shader caches after doing so). This could also be a GPU or PSU issue.

Thanks. I do not overclock and all drivers are up to date. I did the same flight with same senario and was not able to reporoduce. Is this usually related to a faulty hardware or can it be a random driver crash? My GPU is running fine with a variety of games and I did 3 succesful flights after the CTD.
Thanks for the help

It dose not matter if your drivers are up to date. You could have a corrupt file. Keep that in mind for the future.
