Hi, I have 2 values at the elevator trim effectiveness setting for the Websim C172 classic. I have 0.9 and 1.33… which one should I tweak?
Late to the party, but it’s the first value from what I understand. The second is/was the default and is “commented out” by separating it by the semicolon so it has no effect any longer.
Thanks for your reply!
Also late to the party but I had to chip in here. A free software tool for analog trim wheels is SimTrim: MSFS2020 freeware trim device synchronization - SimTrim
This essentially synchronizes any axis with flight sim so that you never get that sudden nose dive or nose up that you describe. It works with any axis on any joystick device and is very easy to use.
Admittedly, I am the author of said product so this may seem like a shameless plug, but it is free and it sounds like it would fix yours and others problems, so I had to mention it.
Heres a screenshot of the newly released version 1:
PS. I don’t own the TB FV1 (which is the yoke not the joystick I think?) but I think the trim wheel is analog, so SimTrim should work for this device. Just make sure you clear the axis assignments for elevator trim axis within the flight sim controls, and let SimTrim work its magic
Super awesome will need to check this out! LONG time wish list item for me
