To be clear, and not deny any credit where it’s due, the other guy did contribute to the 0.3 line, especially in the area of the customizable engine gauges. But his more recent work was focused on the 0.4 rewrite.

I’m excited for us to be where we are now, and really able to work with the full resources of Microsoft and Asobo backing us up. Of course, that means there’s also a lot of pressure on us to deliver. But that’s fine, that’s the way it should be.
We definitely don’t plan on wasting all that work.
