I have been simming for a long time and am a pilot IRL and for me the most disappointing thing about this entire mess has been the fact that this community is so supportive of flight simming and we really want MSFS to be an excellent product. Microsoft/Asobo has millions of customers who would be more than happy to devote hundreds and thousands of hours of their own time to help alpha/beta test a product to help ensure it is the best product possible before release and Microsoft/Asobo for whatever reason just brushed that aside and look where we are at now. They also did a real disservice to all the developers out there by either not giving them any access or access for a brief period just before launch so they could make their products compatible. Now most are having to play catch up.
Imagine how much better this entire experience would have been if (1) they opened proper alpha and then beta testing months prior or even a year ago and (2) they actually listened to the tester feedback and made those changes and (3) they gave the developers access months ago so most of the third party software could be compatible on day one.
I do not understand all of this apparent need to keep everything so secret and locked down. These people, your customers and developers, are here to help. It’s a very important resource that you have turned your back on and look what the result is.
Hopefully they will learn a lesson from this but I have my doubts because this has been going on since the early days of FS2020 and they haven’t learned by their mistakes yet.
You are SO right my friend! Ibin flying since 1988 and sofar NEVER seen a SIM so incomplete as 2024!
My place will be at 2020 until those RENEWERS at Asobo look and listen to the users of the SIMS what they USE and what they NEED.
Just for example the use of Joysticks???I have never seen any off those they mention and named in the CONTROL map.
For now I am done with it!
Asobo for the controls you did a VERY BAD work
