The New Flight Assistant

Hi not sure what’s up with it but the new flight assistant is a bit confusing for me. Does anyone know how to disable it?

I have the same issue, it just keeps re-enabling itself every time I load a flight and its intefering with my flight plans.

Yes same. Cold & Dark is not possible this way. So annoying

If you go into general options, Click accessibility and change the cockpit interaction system to legacy, instead of lock. This will disable the flight assistant.

I’ve changed the accessibilty option to Legacy but I can still select it in the sim - the problem now is that in trying to ask it to JUST handle the radios by clicking through the options it completely took over the autopilot and sent me into a death spiral that I couldn’t recover from in time before I got the overstress crash.

So can anyone tell me how to get it to JUST handle the radios as we could prior to SU5?

What works for me is, when i activate ai flight assistent/ co pilot, i have noticed that when a flight end, and forget to turn it off, and theni go straight back to the main menu. Than when start a New flight the ai flight assistent/ co pilot is still active and takes off right away.

To prevent this after the logbook i have the option to continue the flight, than i set ai flight assistent/ co pilot off and go back to main menu to select another flight when i start it ai flight assistent/ co pilot is not active until i deside hé can take over again.

He is doing allright, for take off and straight flight, but to slow down and land the plane, hè makes it a scary rode swaying and yawing keeping the plane just above stallspeed. And most of the time is using the side borderlines as aim of his landings, but i do not mind for hé was a former rookie stuntpilot, and i fly mainly GA.

I would have an idea for updating the Flight Assistant. When making flights I have noticed that the Flight Assistant is showing me important stuff like cities or landmarks only when in being an immediate vicinity of 1 minutes distance which is rather short because in many times I start 15 or 20 (Cessna) minutes away from the target location.
Various stuff can be scrolled through the list up to ten minutes distance, while ALL! landmarks and most cities and also bush landing fields stay un-listed in the Flight Assistant … until I am almost over it with my plane before available to have a landmark marker destination point selected.

Please enhance the range the Flight Assistant is showing the little arrow for nearby airports (especially bush strips are almost invisible and impossible to find with the bare eye from higher up in the sky and would also need a visual ILS glide path too to line up the aircraft for landing.)

Landing Path toggle în Assistance menu does just that.

Okay, solved it.Need to go to the Assistance Options page and turn on AI Radio Coms. Then from the screen dropdown menu the option to turn the co-pilot assist is available.
