I have an RX580, also using high settings and I noticed the same with the clouds. Also noticed some “grainey” shadows in the clouds, if that makes sense. I just assumed it was just because I’m playing it on high not ultra
For me it’s actually a huge downgrade on the RTX3080… Look at below jags in the cockpit, before everything was super smooth (right click --> open in new window to see full size):
That is with below settings, even tried bumped up Render Scaling significantly, which did not fix it:
Just checked, the jags on the window of the DV20 I can also see. But nowhere else. So maybe it is a problem with that particular part of the model?
Concerning the clouds, I found out, that this graining is in fact the process of the cloud dissolving! Look at these screenshots taken in a sequence (only few seconds between shots):
Same for me…
Thank you for the hint with the “Sharpen” option in the UserCfg.opt. I disabled it and the grainyness of the clouds became much less (btw has nothing to do with the AA setting).
“Sharpen” ON:
“Sharpen” OFF:
Why is this not an option that can be set ingame?
Wonder the same they should have added a sharpen option with sharpen strength similar to RDR2
you guys are too much. There were lots of bugs early on, and that unplayable ctd hotfix - they did a fine job of fixing (peripheral problems) Now, more complaining…taking clouds apart? Its running pretty nicely overall, just my opinion. There are big problems in the real world, why not just enjoy what we have and hope it keeps improving overall.
IF YOU WANT TO IMPROVE SOMETHING, PUT THE LOADING SCREEN BACK WITH THE COOL MOVING GRAPHICS AND PLANES, WITHOUT PRESS KEY TO CONTINUE, JUST LOAD THE GAME FROM THAT SCREEN, INSTEAD OF THE STUPID STATIC FUJI MOUNTAIN AND BORING MUSIC…JUST HUMBLE OPINION.
Perhaps stupid question, but when you talk about the new TAA, how to select?
Just to select TAA or there is a new name
