Description of the issue:The disappearance of the right engine on the Boeing 747 causes the contrail to be missing, which negatively affects the visual quality of screenshots taken in photo mode.
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
Forever
REPRODUCTION STEPS
Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:
When the Boeing 747 climbs above 30,000 feet and begins producing contrails, switch to drone mode or camera mode. Then move the camera away from the aircraft, for example viewing it from above. At a certain distance, the right engine disappears. Once the engine disappears, the contrail generated by that engine also fails to render.
This can also be reproduced by parking the aircraft at any airport, entering drone mode or camera mode, and then moving the camera upward and away from the aircraft. The engine will eventually disappear.

We have created an internal ticket to see if our team already has this logged, and if not they will attempt to reproduce the issue and create a new bug report. This item is now marked as feedback-logged. If there is an existing bug report or one is created, we will move this thread to bug-logged.
This is an LOD / draw distance issue that is also affecting the 787, Inibuilds Airbuses, Longitude, and the other first party planes. It is not unique to the 747. As your view gets further away from the aircraft, they lose wings, doors, and certain parts of the exterior textures change to the old textures (demonstrating that the ‘upgrade’ to MSFS 2024 models for first party aircraft was a bit a of a bandaid over the existing artwork - the various parts of the plane should have their LOD settings harmonized so it doesn’t “break apart” like this…).
It’s a bit frustrating that this issue has been reported as a bug previously, but was unacknowledged - I’m glad that it is finally acknowledged, but c’mon guys.
I would suggest that this is an example and consequence of Microsoft / Asobo not having resources in place to fix artwork on first party planes on an ongoing or periodic basis (whether in house staff or contracted) as mentioned by Jorg last year…!
