3/29/23 - Series 5, Day 1 - NEW ROUTE US-41 Northbound - Miami and Tampa

Here’s the reveal of our latest US Highway: Tonight we will depart Miami and head north on US-41, which will take us to more amazing places - Miami, Tampa, Atlanta, Nashville, Chicago, and Milwaukee, ending in the UP of Michigan. The first leg will focus on Southern Florida, specifically Miami and Tampa. Our steed of choice this time around will be the Blackbird/MilViz Cessna 310. There will be plenty of scenery, points of interest, and history along the way, starting at 7p/10e/02z. Let’s go!

The Roads Less Traveled series is a trip down America’s back roads - the US Highways, border to border, coast to coast. Each of these group flights includes virtual tourism and a narrated history of the area through which we fly. In order to get the ”cruisin’ down the highway” perspective, we fly low and follow the roads. We will use real-world weather until we can’t maintain VFR; ATC procedures and airspace are mostly ignored so we can focus on adventure, discovery, and fun, while still doing pilot stuff!
