The So Called Marketplace

Well there you go – 1.13.16.0 downloaded and installed – World Update III UK - all 22.7 Gbs of it - downloaded and installed Xbox App updated – account card changed and saved BUT I STILL CANT BUY ANYTHING IN THE SO CALLED MARKETPLACE. Same PURCHASE FAILED message - why am I not surprised. There are a number of time limited offers I would like to purchase but think the 7 day offer cutoff might be a bit ambitious for a fix by a world software giant like Microsoft given we are already 2 months down the road from the first ticket without any result. When I checked the ticket just now it has been closed marked Solved ???
Would anyone like to comment ???

Did you purchase MSFS through Steam or the Windows Store?

Did you run as administrator? Funny thing is: when purchasing you MUST NOT run as admin. Purchase will fail. But when downloading afterwards I have to close the game first and then run as admin, because it otherwise cannot extract the files to the disc. Its a bug.

Thanks for your suggestion - I went to try it out but unfortunately I appear to have downloaded and installed as Administrator and therefore I cannot run from my normal user login as the Sim is not available from that login. Cheers

While in the sim yesterday tried again to purchase with the same immediate Purchase Failed message but for the first time had an error message window open "
ERROR Purchase is currently pending It will be tried again shortly – If not completed within 24h please contact the customer support “ copy attached!
