My Last and Final Post on this. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is an Epic Fail. for some.
It is a great success for others.

Comments like the ones below show the cold-hearted nature, the Oh Well I got mine you didn’t , Don’t blame the game, don’t blame Microsoft.

A lot of non simmers are coming over and complaining that nothing works for them and want to be spoon-fed. It’s quite funny to read honestly. Part of this hobby is fixing and tuning the programs to get it to run nicely.

“What a HORRIBLE game this is” hasn’t even played the game yet lmao these posts really give me a good laugh.

It’s great, good on you if you downloaded it without a hitch, and it’s working for you. For those that are less familiar and technologically impaired to go through all of the published materials and videos and tech support is showing what a poor result of a rushed to sale program this is.

I went back and re-read the reviews. the number of one-star ratings is climbing, so there is a problem, and that problem is that if you shell out $130- $90 or $60 for a program the purchaser expects it to work, Well as I said MSFS2020 is an Orgasmic Failure of Epic proportions. and I will stick to my opinion based on the fact that I can’t get a refund, denied by Microsoft. Add to that solutions are so obscure, reinstall this, delete this, reboot, set this to off, set this setting to on…like really WTF,

I have gotten my Lawyer involved for the demand of the money I spent, and YES I will spend more in the lawyer’s fees, however, it is the principle of the matter.

Again you got it to work Fine, Great Wonderful for you. I would like to know how many others are just as ■■■■■■ off that it didn’t work or go smoothly. And if your just going spout like a whale about how GRAND everything is running for you, do us all a favor and don’t say a word.

Agreed . Previous FS releases were bad. Even FS95 wasn’t as bad a release as this one. You remember the ■■■■ show it was… Made them come out with fs98 in a hurry.

I think the problem here is… This time around I was led to expect a lot based on the information they released and I got nothing working besides the photo real ground textures… But I guess you can’t really screw up bitmaps …

If you go into steam and filter by playtime 10 hours or more on the reviews you will see that it’s Mostly Positive!

I think of it more as extremists vs. pragmatists, regardless of whether you’re young or old, new to flight simulation or not, casual or hardcore.

In the extremes you have those who are polarized to a love it or hate it stance. It’s great or it’s garbage.

Being practical about it… I’m certainly disappointed that this was rushed out the door clearly needing more development time. But, that doesn’t preclude enjoying the experience. Like, I could either be mad about it or I can make the most of it and just avoid the things that are most broken.

Biggest thing for me will be seeing what the update schedule is like over the next weeks and months in addressing the biggest shortcomings.

The Point is that a product that does not work is not refundable.
and that was after spending over 6 hours discussing the issues with both microsoft, and my computers maker, and reading and watching videos on how to fix the problem.

That is the point.

Did not purchase through steam, purchased it from microsfot store.

Try $128 and change, and yes I will pay a lawyer $300 to file paperwork

Just make sure you use a Texas Lawyer , I hear they are the best for this type of thing

Just to add, you can’t expect a software to run flawlessly on every hardware(pc). Because every hardware is different. That why most of the time console game is more stable and optimized compared to pc port.
I think one last thing you can try is to do a clean install of Windows. It might work.
