When 3D thermals are turned off, they reappear with any change of view within the cockpit. To reproduce, it’s simply:
Start a flight on the ground, Vision Jet or Longitude in my case
Ensure 3D thermals are Off (via Weather menu)
Change the current view, in my case a custom view down to the PFD/MDF
Change the view back to normal pilot view, and 3D thermals will be activated
Pull down the Weather menu, switch to custom tab, and 3D Thermals are still set to Off based on original selection; even though they show Off, they are being displayed
Toggle 3D Thermals on and off, and they will stop until the next view change
