They owe us a free plane for a few hundred thousand dollars in career mode

So, in career mode, I have experienced a plane crash due to a bug in the system and I’ve also heard a bunch of people experience the same thing. It takes a lot of time to build up the money to fix your aircraft so that you can continue making money. Does anyone agree that they should give everyone a free career aircraft or at least $500k?

i mean you can pause the sim immediately and quit mission / restart if there’s a serious issue.

there’s only a handful which are game stopping, true it should never have released like the car crash it was.

if you lost a plane due to a crash im assuming you flew without insurance, its a risk / reward thing you know?

maybe offer free insurance ?

I had the highest insurance. After insurance it’s still going to cost like 200k to fix. I didn’t learn about pausing the sim until after it bit the dirt.

Insurance was broken up until the last patch and didnt pay anything. I am unsure if its correctly working now if you crash. People also lost millions due to the insurance accumulation bug, which was again fixed only in the last patch. Several aircraft and game bug destroyed airplanes upon mission start or taxi. So it is unfair to say that you had a risk reward ratio. 90 percent of crashes happen because of bugs currently.

I lost about 5-6 million on career till now, I consider myself very lucky compared to others. I don’t really care if they will give anything, I don’t mind it that much, I can still fly most airplanes in career as of now, even if some are buggy.

im still flying around in a 172, scraping enough to save for a bonanza so i dont even fly with insurance as its too expensive to make money, i can imagine a total loss flying a plane worth a few million would be harsh, i guess i’ve been lucky bug wise as im more of a casual player.

i enjoy the challenge tho, and wouldn’t want 0.5m crediting to my account, but equally people should be compensated for losses if non fault. especially if it was a non paying insurance bug, that really is awful!

This is my 3rd time crashing because of something stupid. First time I spawned in a building ($400K) second time I was taxing very slowly on grass trying to get on the grass runway, the plane didn’t do anything weird but a messasage popped up and said I crashed ($200k) and this time I’m on final and the trim went haywire and nose dived into the grass ($400k)

So as of right now I have lost $1M on stupid things for no reason. I don’t think its unreasonable to ask for at least half back.

i agree that this should have been a third party addon.

What do you mean by “this should have been a 3rd party addon”

Creating a thriving partner ecosystem has been the succesfactor of almost all major software brands. In this case someone thought they needed to build everything themselves. Now it is a game around career building with a subpar flight sim and the whole addon developing ecosystem wondering how to survive the enormous cost of re-development or even being faced with the unability of using their product on 2024 at all.
This is a major financial drama for the customers that paid, for the 3rd parties and of course alsio for the publisher. 2024 will fade and it will take at least into 2026 and a huge amount of positive youyube clips to get sales back.
