I noticed something very interesting. I was taxing at the default KSFO airport (at the time with my just released Salty aircraft mod) and to my surprise I noticed another Salty specific aircraft parked at a Gate.
What makes it interesting at least to me was, Salty had just released their aircraft specified the day before, and I couldn’t quite understand how it made it’s way into the sim.
There were no updates to the sim since they introduced it; 2) I don’t have multi player on; 3) I don’t have AI traffic on; 4) I only have generic aircraft feature on, no specific (name or carrier) aircraft.
Out of curiosity how did it get there? By me adding it to my hanger automatically adds it to an airport? I haven’t seen it at any other Airport just default KSFO. Again not an issues just curious.
It’s a static ground aircraft. Not AI. These are generated by SIM from aircraft models in your SIM: if you have the Salty 747 then it will be able to use these as scenery objects. When people started buying the Kodiak they saw Kodiak’s parked everywhere.
You can control the density of ground aircraft in Options > Traffic.
Hi there,
I moved this to Community Support.
Yes, as AlpineB4652 said, it is static traffic. I own a Blériot and a Volocopter, and I see them way too often at airports.
Don’t get me started. I have a thread on here about arriving at a small airport and seeing seven or eight of them. I hated that so I rigged up an isAirTraffic=0 change.
Lol, I remember reading that thread. Ive yet to see one even though I’ve not uninstalled the Volocopter. That said, I’ve never flown it. Maybe also because I keep static aircraft density down at 10%
