Third party XBox controller: Do they work?

Hey all
I’m flying on the PC, but with a standard xBox controller.

Now I want a third-party one because they offer more buttons.
Most likely the “Razer Wolverine V2 Chroma”.

Do these third party controllers usually work fine in MSFS? Meaning can I assign functions to the aditional buttons?

Also: In case you guys know other good xBox controllers which have at least 4 more buttons than the standard one, please let me know about thouse! :slight_smile:

Don’t see any reason why a third party controller wouldn’t work.

However, I’m not sure the extra buttons would allow you to assign them to more functions. Typically they only allow remapping of the existing buttons, and I can’t see anything on the website that suggests otherwise.

Hmmm you mean it would just allow to change the position of a button, basically?
That would be rather silly… :confused:
What would be the point of having more buttons then :confused:

You can’t use the d-pad or face buttons without taking your thumbs off either stick.

Remapping them to one of the extra buttons on the bottom is a useful alternative.
