You can say it louder, but not clearer
The problem isn’t the Xbox or the bandwidth, is the product

The Photogrammetry you photographed is what it is. I bought addon scenery for NYC just to clean up some of that stuff because I know the town so well. Lived there for ages. Fun to see stuff up close.
Vegas scenery was also worth picking up for me.
NYC photogrammetry looks similar on a PC with ultra settings.
Your photograph has nothing to do with bandwidth or streaming. That is the MSG data you should stream.
Just as we did in MSFS2020, where the third parties rescued the experience
But in the case of MSFS2024, the situation is different, the commercial promise was that you could explore the world on foot and it would look like a “digital twin”, which did not happen (in addition to the countless problems of product operation)
Hope you’re right, my friend. It’s reasonable and legit that everyone of us have a different idea and standard around the graphic/performance topic. Someone goes all-in for resolution, others prefer high-quality textures or global illumination, shadows, draw distance or framerate. It’s highly subjective. But to me, especially if you’re short in resources like on console, you should really prioritize those graphic elements strictly tied with gameplay. The problem i have with dynamic settings is just that: it mainly impact a core gameplay feature such as draw distance, especially important for a proper bush flight experience.
I don’t know how with today’s technology they could have lived up to your expectations. The ground detail was as good if not better than I expected.
Photogrammetry is what it is. I would walk and explore elsewhere for that high fidelity experience. Like, walk a trail in the mountains or something.
The console does not have limited resources, because if it were, the product should not have been launched on that platform, or at least it should have been sold as a “light version” with reduced features just like its price
This is incredible. I get the feeling Asobo is jealous and resents PMDG because they are so professional and thorough with their products. Remember when the marketplace held up the 737 liveries for like a month for no good reason?
It is possible, although I think it has more to do with the product hijacking policy to increase its profits at the expense of obstacles for customers
In recent days Navigraph, for example, stated that it has made many developments for Xbox, has sent them to Microsoft and these have simply been ignored
In addition, Microsoft leads the product to a different concept of “community”, in order to get more from users (yes, even more). Just think, what are all those photos generated in the “world photography” mode for?, the answer is simple, Microsoft obtains a gigantic database of free promotional images with the work of users
Interesting, what do you mean here exactly?
That the reasons why third parties cannot make their developments available on the market for Xbox users is not a technical issue, it is strictly commercial
Now (a couple of hours ago), A2A has also stated that Microsoft does not allow to deliver in the marketplace the adjustments they are making for their Comanche 250 (an incredible product) for the MSFS2024, even when they “transmitted” the model
Another proof that the problem with access to the simulator on Xbox by third-party developers is not technical, it is strictly commercial
Well with the current state of the simulator it couldn’t hurt lol ![]()
Last night (Fri. Dec. 6) was probably the worst performance I’ve had since the first few days of this release. Constant lag, CTDs galore. I turned it off. I have noticed constant performance issues non stop in prime time hours when I can actually fly this sim.
Turned it on this morning around 10am ET. STILL had horrible problems. Every time I clicked to change my plane on the “map screen,” Immediate CTD to Xbox home screen. This happened 4 times before I gave up.
Decided to go back to MSFS2020. Well, after that latest update about 7-10 days ago…I forgot, I get this “checking for updates” screen that just sits there for 2-3+ minutes. Did that this morning, but it was stuck. Had to restart! I did…same long loading update screen…but finally moved to the screencap loading. This was another 5-6+ minutes!! I FINALLY get in, 2 min. flight, it CTD. Just shook my head in utter disgust.
WHAT DID THEY DO TO THE OLD 2020 SIM, this was working perfectly fine!??
Did you put 0 to the minima ?
Wait what? Other than the FSR500 I have logged the most 2020 hours in the A2A Comanche. Are they saying they can’t port the aircraft over to 2024??
I can’t think of a plane I want more than their Aerostar 600 and if they can’t going to push it Xbox I’ll be furious at Microsoft
Agreed. No reasonable person interprets “digital twin” literally in this context. Maybe this is a language barrier issue, but I don’t know.
This has been a problem for over 2 years and not just on Xbox, but PC as well. It happens because of a corrupted update file. The system thinks there’s an update when there isn’t. Try reinstalling or just keep restarting.
No I don’t think so, I put the default 200ft as the minimums? Is that where I’m messing up? I haven’t changed the way I did things from 2020, and in 2020 the autoland worked perfectly every time.
Didn’t make any difference. I also noticed it was resetting itself to 16gb after a couple of restarts.
