as senior, mainly Airline simmer I am aware of minor AP bugs, some missing functionality that I am sure of will come later and was lucky to have no CTDs some are experiencing for the moment. There are so many complaints all around the forum because everybody wants a perfect Sim right from the beginning. Im sure we will get that sooner or later.
BUT what I really want to say: start up the Extra 300 in the new Tokyo scenery meanwhile and look how high you can push the G forces through the road valleys in this really breathtaking set!!! IMHO this alone is worth €/$ 120 at minimum! They did an amazing job! I’m loving it and can’t wait to try this with my new HP Reverb G2 im waiting for. When I have enough of that the Hold pattern will work in the A320 AP.
Well, dont know, maybe I am just lucky. I can’t see all those scenery problems people are talking about. San Francisco looks great, New York, Tokyo could not have been better beofre the patch. Paris is boring - waiting for an update. Some are guessing it depends on the servers you are connected to. I am in Europe and have no complaionts so far.
Finally someone to share some positive feelings with. Welcome aboard! I’m having so much fun right now (Try Rome, it’s really good too with lots of other places in italy!)
I have not seen a decrease in the scenery after the patch. I have been flying around the SE and Midwest US and have been very satisfied with not only the fidelity, but also the accuracy of the environment. Did the tour of Japan and it was equally impressive.
I also don’t know why people having having issues that the scenery looked better before the patch. For me grphics wise nothing chaned. Only japan got alot better. Fps is also more stable. Yes there was a graphic downgrade from alpha to beta. But after final release i didn’t notice any degredation in textures, lod’s or viewing distances. Photogrammetery areas even look beter to me… But still, when people experience these problems, i understand they complain or tell about it. As i did during beta testing. But also share detailed info then.. Picture from before and after.. And report to zendek. Instead of just write a complain without any additional/relevant info.
There is some people are running photogrammetry is off, and some even at on, offline still appear, their net connection is not synced/connected with Msfs, it’s user end issue.
True, and that’s why they should add screenshots. But really, if people can’t be bothered to explain their problem and just shout it’s ugly and worse then before without posting some evidence about their statement.. Should they even be helped?
Folks claiming to have a decrease in quality really need to familiarize themselves with this section of Options > General > Data. For me, my “Bing Data World Graphics” and “Photogrammetry” settings were set to “OFF”. I didn’t change these, they were changed automatically with the patch.
I am loving it as well. Not having any issues. The A320 mod is amazing now and I am flying from my home base to Japan in short hops to check out the new scenery.
That’s not true. I’m preatty familiar with the “Data” section, served no purpose in restoring the original viewdistance and LOD behaviour after patches.
Might not be true in your case, but it is certainly an issue that is causing a lot of people to have a bad experience. I’m not claiming it resolves every issue.
