Throttle die down by itself

Hi all.
Im a newbie both in sim and msf2022.
I’ve just bought the xbox and installed the msfs.
I’ve just started practicing and first used a Turtle beach Velocity one yoke and now a Thrustmaster tca yoke boeing edition , but on both device, the throttle will not stay where I put it, it will goes right down after few seconds.
I’ve tried the yoke default settings and my new profile in the xbox control but it just the same.

Please help.
Regards.

There’s a little lever behind the throttle which is the reverser. It is usually bound to “throttle decrease”. Make sure it is pushed away from the throttle (disengaged). This should solve the problem.

Have you looked into the assistance settings of FS?
There’s a load of assistance options that are “meant” to help you but they don’t.
Just turn them all off and try to learn by your self.

Try turning off assisted takeoffs and landings as a start. These settings can cause behavior similar to what you describe.

  • Go to Options > Assistance Options.
  • Turn off ASSISTED TAKEOFFS and ASSISTED LANDINGS.

Thank you for the assistance
I did go there but you can only minimise it but can’t turn it off totally.
Any idea I can turn it off please.
Im on xbox , not on a PC.

Thank you gentlemen.
Following your advice, I placed the small front stick away from the throttle and had the take off and landing assists turned off, I did have only a quick flight and it seems to be better,
It can now hold the speed, but after a while the speed control direction changed the other way around, if I wanted to increase the speed I need to pull it back instead of moving it away as I did early on !
It also warns me that the top speed is too low,
I have not changed any settings with the plane as I don’t know how to, it was a Cessna152.

In the profile throttle setting, I can see there is a button for THROTTLE 1 INCREASE,what does it do please?

Regards.

Throttle 1 increase means if you bind a button to that action, every time you press that button the throttle will increase a little bit.

You do NOT want your throttle to be bound to that action. Your throttle is Joystick L-Axis 1. You should make sure that Joystick L-Axis 1 is bound to “THROTTLE AXIS”. Make sure if it is bound to anything else, to remove the binding.

Go to the control options and on the left side you can see a drop down menu called “Select an input”. Click on that, and go down the list until you see “Joystick L-Axis 1”. Click on it, and it will show you everything that is connected to your throttle axis. If there is something bound to it that is not “THROTTLE AXIS”, then click on that thing and select “CLEAR CURRENT INPUT”. And then validate, and then apply and save. If it is only bound to THROTTLE AXIS then it is correct.

Thank you so much
I will spend some more time to learn more.
