@FoxMike1080, thanks for the tip, but didnât help me a bit. I was really hoping it would, too, because itâs become a MAJOR PITA for me. So hereâs to hoping Asobo gets it fixed, if not in SU4, even sooner is better. Put out a hot fix if you have to.
You hear that @Jummivana? Itâs a serious problem for me, sometimes to the point that I have to restart flights from scratch. Please fix it. Today would be great! Regardless, Iâd at the very least appreciate an acknowledgement from you that you read this, even if you canât help fix it on your own. A deeper explanation would be great, too. As deep as youâre capable or permitted to go.
Yup needs a hot fix. I purchased the bell 135. However due to this bug, I crash every time I come back from the menu- the bell canât handle the sudden power drop from my mixture resetting.
Iâve tried everything in this thread. Ended up buying FSPCUI just to map my controls directly into MFS. However thereâs no way I should be forking out that amount of money to fix a game breaking bug. Would be really nice if this was recognised in the dev updates.
@JollyJackKetch, I donât even know how to do that if I wanted to. And I might, if this thing doesnât get resolved soon. If you can help me with that, please let me know.
But please TAG me in your message. I know I sound like a broken record about that, but without doing so, I may not even notice that youâve replied to me, and if I do, itâs pure, blind luck. If you donât know, you can tag me by typing @ KevyKevTPA without the space in whatever message you create on the topic. Please, and thank you.
And spread the word, if everybody did that, weâd all have a much easier time finding posts addressed to us, most especially if itâs been a minute.
Also getting this issue.
Steam version
Honeycomb Alpha and bravo, MFG Crosswind pedals
Since swapping my USB connections a week ago I havenât had this problem come back yet.
Now just waiting for next Update and âHow in the world is this even a bugâ bug show up.
Have the same issue.
Steam version, Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo
Quite unbelievable and very annoying that the issue is still not fixed âŠ
Still happening here, getting quite old nowâŠ
Confirm. Steam. Saitek Quadrant.
When is the next video with the developers scheduled so we can get some feedback about whether theyâre doing anything about this?
Iâd like to know as well as I have intentionally not been playing because of this 1 bug being a complete dealbreaker for me.
Same here. Microsoft Store, Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo, Logitech Rudder pedals.
I canât find any mention of this bug on any of their acknowledged bug lists or improvement roadmaps. Maybe Iâm blind & missing it? These leads me to conclude a fix for this will not be included in the impending Sim Update, and weâre looking at another 2-3 months of the game being unusable. Am I wrong? If so please explain, thanks.
@Lerxst0, I want this fixed just as much as the next guy, and Iâm hoping in SU4, but it doesnât render the game unusable. You have to either avoid using escape, or if you do so, be prepared to jump on your controls to fix them asap after getting back it. Are you seriously going to park the sim because of this???
You guys and the u-word. As soon as I see that, I instantly do this: ![]()
Iâm not parking the sim because of it, and if you do, thatâs just nuts.
Most of my playtime involves interruptions, unfortunately. I am hitting escape to pause often. Because activepause doesnât work right either. It became really tedious, really fast, to have to reset multiple analog axes each time, especially with multi-engine aircraft and mixture controls killing engines mid-flight. The game quickly became so annoying, so fast, I wasnât having fun or learning anything anymore, and those are the 2 reasons I bought the game. So yes, it is indeed unusable for me.
@Lerxst0 set a key up to do a ârealâ pause, not the ESC type and not the âactive pauseâ type. I think itâs set pause on, but I donât have the sim on to check. Please let me know whether or not it works, and if it doesnât, Iâll try to help further, but please tag me when you do so by typing â@ KevyKevTPAâ, without the space, in your response back to me, as I did to you. That way I get the same notification you just got and KNOW that youâre trying to talk to me, rather than relying on luck for me to wander back into this thread.
Itâs an EASY fix. Just let me know if you figured it out or need help, and TAG ME, please!!!
Chat soon I hope.
If itâs easier for you, you can find me in my Discord Server here.
I can confirm repositioning the USB connections fixed the issue for me too. Give that a shot if youâre still having issues..
@Lerxst0, I can confirm that the mapping you want is âSet Pause Onâ and âSet Pause Offâ. I have them mapped to P and CTRL-P on my keyboard, and two different buttons on my joystick, but you can put them wherever you like.
Please let me know, and at the risk of sounding like a broke record, please tag me when you do.
Thanks, youâre welcome, and good luck!

In all my decades of gaming I have never experienced an issue where control inputâs reset to 50% when exiting to menu in any game Iâve played ever. Certainly not a flight or space sim.
@somethingbrite, things have ânever happenedâ until they happen. Now it has. At least once that you or I are aware of. MS will get it fixed, hopefully in SU4, but if not, soon enough.
In the meantime, remap your controls to the ârealâ pause function as I instructed in the very post you responded to (without tagging me), itâs a great workaround. The only time it wonât work is if you forgot to change your joystick or throttle settings, and need to fix that. But just donât do that, check 'em before you pop into the cockpit, and youâll never have to use the ESC pause feature again, even after itâs fixed. Now that Iâve remapped my joystick, I donât see ever using that unless I need to restart my flight or go back to the main menu for whatever reason. But if youâre doing that, the 50% bug wonât strike anyway.
