Hi all. Ive suddenly started experiencing a BIZARRE issue.. on the ground, when advancing the throttle for takeoff, it initially increases correctly then as soon as the aircraft starts moving, it drops back of its own accord..then fluctuating wildly back and forward and never reaching full throttle at all, despite where I move the actual throttle to.
Now here’s the thing…its with EVERY aircraft but ONLY on the ground…in the air , all is completely normal.!!!
I’ve tried different axes, and even completely different throttles.
I’ve also set up new bindings and ONLY assigning throttle…just the same
I’m stumped..how can it be fine in the air but not on the ground? any ideas gratefully received !
Im on steam and running the latest beta, but dont think its a beta issue?
Even MORE bizarre as ive just discovered , if I START a flight in the air (all good) then land, the throttle works perfectly on the ground again, and everything is normal and I can then takeoff as usual…go figure !
Check that you don‘t have any assistents turned on. They use to behave irratically.
EUREKA… Thank you !..for some reason FS2020 had decided to turn on Piloting/assisted takeoff
I certainly didnt put it on…that was the one sending the throttle crazy !
You have saved my sanity …appreciate it !
Always a pleasure ![]()
Check your settings after every update or redownload.
MSFS does have a habit of changing settings at these times.
I had deleted the C208 folder to confirm that the sim would reinstall it when it started up.
It did, but it also changed everyone of my Assistance settings!!
Yes thats a very odd “feature” or “bug” depending on how you view it..would be WAY better for the update to leave the Assistance settings alone !
I literally spent hours trying to track down what was going on till I posted here..
