Hi folks,
Just bought a sidestick from Thrustmaster, ran MSFS and can’t fly with it. It works in menu even when all axes & buttons are cleared from assignment… like a gamepad. I.e. I can switch menu options, press menu buttons right from my new joystick. In other words, when I’m trying to assign my bindings it doesn’t do it.
I tried to load MSFS without the sidestick, than plugged it in. Device was detected and worked fine. But after I exit and load MSFS with the joystick plugged in it worked badly again.
Any guess?
Have you checked your switch at the base on the sidestick? Are you using it on Captain or F/O Mode?
Then when you get to the Control options, start with the default bindings. And test your flight controls on the ground.
It’s on a Captain position. The issue is it works in a menu even without any key or axis assignment in options. How come?
It looks like MSFS understands this hardware as something MS default.
For instance, when I try to bind the key number 3 (the black one on a top and left) I kind of press “back” button.
Usually MSFS switches depending on which hardware you’re currently using. So if you’ve been using the sidestick for navigating the menu, then that’s what’s going to happen.
If you use your mouse and keyboard to navigate, then usually the sidestick won’t be active for navigation purposes. Just make sure your keyboard and mouse are connected.
Well, the problem is… I can’t bind my set, cause when I use a key that I don’t know how tied with “back” button.
BTW, nothing similar with another hardware
Thanks anyway.
