Thrustmaster TCA Addon issues

Thanks @Neo4316 for a help. Hoping the autobreak will be fixed soon. Honestly, i saw on some thread that someone set the DISARM poistion for AUTOBREAK to the same button as to HI position. Like button 26 both for DISARM and HI. Or something similiar to this.
Didn’t try it . Can’t tell for 100 %

Regarding the Spoilers good catch , but why guys in Thrustmaster didn’t think about this. Just to retract the switch up. They didn’t see manual instructions for airbus a320?!?! Awesome

Thanks anyway for advise. I will try it.

So frustrating spending hours configuring controls and uninstalling and reinstalling mods all night. Instead of being able to enjoy the simulator u spend all night trying to fix it…

Any idea why i cant get my auto trust to work on the new experimental a320 fbw? Really giving the irrits trying to work it out

What happened? Autothrust should work as long as the thrust lever is properly positioned.

It was working fine for me until i updated to the latest experimental version (leap) the A/T is engaging but not managing the speed in CLB mode. It will fly to 400+ knots and overspeed. There is obviously a conflict somewhere maybe with a addon livery… i dont have any other mods installed so im at a loss as how to fix it.

Did you delete all the old A32NX mod folders? You may need to delete the one in the packages folder outside of the community as well so the new standalone aircraft can create a new throttle config file.

Then you need to calibrate the throttle again using the EFB flypad.

Turns out my calibration was off slightly in the EFB thats why it was not going into “speed” mode.

Althou one thing i have noticed is the LVR clb flashing does not stop after going into the CLB detent

I set my CLB detent to start from -0.05 and ends at 0.05 so technically, I’m getting 10% deadzone in that detent. My LVR CLB stop flashing when I moved it to the CL detent properly.

I will give that a go. Thanks alot

I’m back in this boat also. I’ve set the linear sensitivities for both throttle axis, but can’t get it calibrated properly with the EFB.

What’s your specific issue?
I remember there was a post that said the experimental version just got updated a few hours ago that solved the calibration issue.

I saw that topic also and updated a couple of hours after that post was made. My issue is that the only detent that is calibrated properly is the TOGA detent. My full reverse detent puts the engines at idle. The Idle detent puts the engines in reverse. The CLB detent does nothing. And the FLX/MCT detent doesn’t seem to correspond to anything. And nothing will make the ATHR work.

The following is my throttleconfiguration.cfg file:

[throttle_common]
reverse_on_axis = true

[throttle_axis_1]
reverse_low = -0.950000
reverse_high = -1.000000
reverse_idle_low = -0.450000
reverse_idle_high = -0.450000
idle_low = -0.150000
idle_high = -0.150000
climb_low = -0.050000
climb_high = 0.050000
flex_mct_low = 0.510000
flex_mct_high = 0.510000
toga_low = 0.950000
toga_high = 1.000000

[throttle_axis_2]
reverse_low = -0.950000
reverse_high = -1.000000
reverse_idle_low = -0.450000
reverse_idle_high = -0.450000
idle_low = -0.150000
idle_high = -0.150000
climb_low = -0.050000
climb_high = 0.050000
flex_mct_low = 0.510000
flex_mct_high = 0.510000
toga_low = 0.950000
toga_high = 1.000000

You need to turn on the Reverse on Axis switch at the top part of the EFB Flypad calibration page to enable the reversers.

It is turned on…

Your values are incorrect. The LOW and HIGH values should not be the same. And the LOW needs to be “lower” value than the high. This means you don’t have enough deadzone to keep the thrust levers in place. Your Reverse value is inverted.

Try these instead:

[throttle_common]
reverse_on_axis = true

[throttle_axis_1]
reverse_low = -1.000000
reverse_high = -0.950000
reverse_idle_low = -0.750000
reverse_idle_high = -0.650000
idle_low = -0.550000
idle_high = -0.450000
climb_low = -0.050000
climb_high = 0.050000
flex_mct_low = 0.450000
flex_mct_high = 0.550000
toga_low = 0.950000
toga_high = 1.000000

[throttle_axis_2]
reverse_low = -1.000000
reverse_high = -0.950000
reverse_idle_low = -0.750000
reverse_idle_high = -0.650000
idle_low = -0.550000
idle_high = -0.450000
climb_low = -0.050000
climb_high = 0.050000
flex_mct_low = 0.450000
flex_mct_high = 0.550000
toga_low = 0.950000
toga_high = 1.000000

Thought I would just throw my ThrottleConfiguration.ini settings into the mix as well. Suffice to say that I have only had mine a few days now and I couldn’t be happier with how it feels (sidestick as well). Made it like chalk and cheese with regards my old black widow.

I’m doing this many times spoilers ok. but flaps not fixed. It is only full and 0 not working properly.

Is that flaps full or 0 on the Thrustmaster Control Panel?
Or is it okay there but full or 0 in the sim?

I found a workaround for mine. I disconnected the throttles, switched the mode switch to ENG 3+4, reconnected. Followed the calibration procedure, now my flap/spoiler axes are working.

When it’s in ENG 1+2 mode it is only detecting those axes as 100% on or 100% off when I look in the Control Panel. Switching to 3+4 made them actually work as axes. I have a ticket open with TM support but this at least got me flying. Albeit with the annoyance of having to remap all my stuff…

If you’re calibrating it as engine 3&4 then the calibration will be stored as engine 3&4 and your engine 1&2 modes would still be uncalibrated.

Just remember that Thrustmaster official guideline to the calibration has missing steps. Instead of pressing the red buttons 4x, you need to press it 5x including the full reverse. And your flaps and spoilers need to move in conjunction with the throttles as you calibrate them. So the positions where you press the two red buttons are:

Throttles TOGA, Spoilers Up, Flaps Up → press red buttons.
Throttles FLX/MCT, Spoilers 1, Flaps 1 → press red buttons.
Throttles CLB, Spoilers 2, Flaps 2 → press red buttons.
Throttles IDLE, Spoilers 3, Flaps 3 → press red buttons.
Throttles FULL REVERSE, Spoilers Full, Flaps Full → press red buttons.

If you don’t move the spoilers and flaps at the same position as the to throttles, the quadrant will take the up position as the valid calibrated position. So when you pull them it’s either full or retract. That’s why the spoilers and the flaps need to match the throttle position to have them calibrated as well.

I have completed the Thrustmaster TCA quadrant calibration process several times and I am not getting the correct dtent lineup for FLX/Climb … it will go to TO/GA everytime … is there a fix
