Hi there, I am looking for some advice. Since installing the recent mandatory update to MSFS the Thrustmaster Quadrant appears to be malfunctioning. It mostly fails on the ground and is malfunctioning in the following ways:
Flaps stay at position one in the game and won’t move to 0 - 2 - 3 or full until airborne. (The screen appears to flicker as though it wants to follow instruction but doesn’t).
The throttle seems out of sync and when taxing the thottle suddenly loses power and won’t work.
I am not sure what has caused this but since the update my pc seems to fidget between screens also (e.g: I open a browser or go to start and it fidgets between opening and closing).
I am not very technical but would be grateful if someone might offer me some assistance
Thank You

Which TCA — Airbus or Boeing?
Hi there, thanks for responding. It’s the airbus!
It’s not a problem with your hardware, many times in the last 2 years Asobo has added other airframes or items to the SIM that needed changes in "control options " to enable them to work, it can affect various controllers in different ways. Normally members on here sort it out fairly quickly.
You’re using the Airbus so I should have similar problems, what aircraft were you using?
I will see if I experience the same probs.
I’ve been using the a320 which comes with the SIM. It behaves the same with another a320 which was downloaded to the sim also.
Thanks
It’s almost as if there is some sort of delay also, especially on the throttle. The flaps never moves from position one in the SIM despite it moving from 0 - full on the thrustmaster. I just tried to increase throttle and then decreased to stop and the jet didn’t slow down and instead sped up and kept on going. The landing gear also went up whilst on the ground. It was fine until I installed the new mandatory upgrade but has behaved strangely since. It’s almost like I haven’t played the game before, resetting to prompts and points of interests which had previously been disabled. Any help would be brilliant as I am not at all technical.
Hi Shaunycag1980
I have just tried the MS Neo using the Thrustmaster Airbus SideStick & 2 Lever Quadrant + add-on with unaltered settings well before the last update with no problems.
I would say nothing has changed for me but sometimes things like settings in " Assistance Options " get switched on it feels like you have no control of the aircraft at times, that’s all I can think of if it occurred after the update.
Apart from that, it could be the lever quadrant requires calibrating again, and check the Eng toggle switch at the front of the quadrant just in case it has been accidentally switched to Eng 3&4.
Go into “Assistance Options” / Piloting / and make sure all are set to OFF, I have only Radio Comms ATC set to ON.

Hi there, I just wanted to let you know that your advice was really helpful and corrected the issues. It was indeed the assistance options you mentioned and after following your advice the matter is resolved. Thank you so very much for your advice in this matter. Best Wishes
That’s good news,
Assistance options is always a first stop when changes occur.
As for the Thrustmaster Airbus SideStick & 2 Lever Quadrant, I think they are the best investment I have made for this sim. For the price they are excellent.
