Thrustmaster TCA Throttle Quadrant USB device not recognised error

yeah, mine has been sent off to TM now so lets hope they repair it

Waiting for a reply back from Thrustmaster. Nit sure where I stand on sending it back as it was a birthday present from my dad. Don’t havd any info about order number or anything

I’m here too I contacted them and everything they tell me nothing works I ordered it from dell and I am wondering do I return it and try to get another. If anyone has any ideas on how to help before I think about sending it back please respond as soon as possible.

Hey guys, quick update. My Quadrant arrived at TM last Thurs. I received an auto e-mail today confirming receipt and that my repaired item will be shipped within the next 15 days. I guess they’ve had a lot of returns recently!

I did make a note of the serial number before returning for repair. It’ll be interesting to see if the same one returns or if a replacement is shipped.

Def try the above steps as a last resort before looking for a repair / replacement as your looking at around 15 days turn around time at present. You can currently pre-order the Quadrant via Amazon with a despatch time of 1-4 weeks, I guess they’re awaiting new stock imminently.

It’s just annoying that it most likey isn’t a hardware problem that’s the thing but it works for some but not others weird isn’t it.

Seeing how this post has grown over the last few weeks must mean it’s a hardware fault. I’ve never had an issues with the sidestick or pedals. It’ll be interesting to see if TM comments before returning or just the standard ā€˜we found no issues’ response.

My original quadrant is still being repaired but my 2nd order arrived today via Amazon. I ordered this last Thurs and arrived this afternoon as I was after 2; ready for when the A380NX comes out.

The build quality feels better out of the box already and I’ve tightened the unit at the back and more force is needed to move the unit which feels great! Fingers crossed this one works well, my original unit won’t be back for another 2 weeks so this will make a great semi-replacement for now! Driver installed and no issues so far (pre-flight testing).

Today FS2020 decided it didn’t want to launch at all… repair, nothing, reset, nothing… full uninstall and reinstall :frowning: nooo … oh well atleast i can say i have 220Meg fibre… should be done fairly quickly… not sure if it was the latest H2 update from MS that ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  it…

Guys i have more sad news, well for me anyway.
EGMH manston Airport was removed from the game :frowning: it is gone IRL but it was my local airport so im really sad to see it go

My TCA quadrant started having intermittent connection problems then failed completely a couple of weeks ago. Went through a few troubleshooting steps with them. Thought I’d have to send it back first, but they’re already sending a replacement which ā€œYou should receive it within 1-4 weeks; (pending any unforeseen, issues, holidays or weather delays).ā€

That’s good news on the replacement! My recent order from Amazon has been working 100% since Thursday and I’ve done a number of flights without issue.

I’m beginning to think there was just a large number of faulty quadrant’s released, most likely due to demand and not enough time to quality check them prior to shipping perhaps? It’s been week 1 of 2 on the repair side, hopefully I should get further details on my original quadrant next week.

Glad to hear your new device is working better - that certainly suggests it’s not your computer or USB ports at fault! I haven’t heard anything specific from TM about how they’re getting on with my quadrant that I sent back, but I’ve now had a notification that a parcel is on its way from them, so hopefully it’s a fully functioning quadrant… I’ll keep you posted!

I received a tracking number from UPS today, my repaired quadrant is on it’s way back and should be here Wednesday (but my original order got stuck in Stanford Le Hope for a week last time).

It’ll be interesting to see if it will be a brand new replacement or simply a repaired item. I hope your quadrant works out!

Quick update, my UPS delivery arrived earlier than expected (today) and fair play to TM. They advised 15 days, the full process for me was around 7 days.

I’ve received a fully boxed, brand new quadrant replacement. I won’t be able to test it until next weekend but glad it wasn’t my original unit repaired!

My delivery also arrived early today, and I agree - it was very fast. The report attached to the package said they couldn’t identify the fault (did it repair itself en route?!), but they have sent a new quadrant anyway. I’ve just been testing it, and so far, so good! None of the old problems so far. Let’s hope it keeps working over the coming days. Interestingly, the serial number is very different from the original one (the number is a lot longer).
