Thrustmaster TWCS Throttle Failure

Gents,

The day before yesterday, my Thrustmaster TWCS throttle failed. I have reloaded the software and the throttle tests perfectly until I start MSFS at which time the throttle is not functional. Every other button on the throttle works as advertised, but not the throttle itself. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Oatburner

So the throttle works in other games but not MSFS? That’s strange. Maybe try deleting the profile for the throttle and programming the actions in a new one.

Check your Throttle Bindings, and check in the sensitivity curve. If you move the throttle, does the white dot moves along the line?

This sounds like a mapping issue.

Check to see whether the profile has been changed from one with working bindings to a blank un-mapped profile.

MSFS also has some cloud stored data functionality so it’s possible for a controller profile to reload with no data. Loss of input controller data has been reported in relation to server outages.

While I have not experienced complete loss of my input controller profiles I have on a couple of occasions experienced issues where I had no control input working on first flight and this required a restart of the sim.

Basically if it works outside of the sim (recognised and functional in windows, DIView and/or other games)then it is a mapping issue within MSFS.

I had a couple of instances that happens exactly like you said. But I don’t need to restart the sim, I just unplug my hardware from USB, then replug it in. And that usually solves the problem.
