Of course it is, it isn’t fixed yet… just the same a million other threads keep telling us!
I’ve seen it a lot while flying in the Caribbean. What I would say is I have never seen it in clear skies. There have always been clouds around, even if they are very far away, but the weather in no way looks like a storm. Thin, grey/white clouds with massive lightning flashes, often sourced from an area of sky where there are no clouds, shooting out to where the thin clouds are. The thunder is also way too loud, considering the clouds are so far away, and I’m in a noisy plane!
I find it hard to understand why they can’t replicate this.
