The more I fly in this update the more I’m coming to appreciate it. I’m flying 100% in VR with no issues, other than having to press ctrl-0 now and again, which apparently is impossibly difficult for some people but personally I can just about manage it.
I’ve found a new sweet spot in graphics settings and the weather and improved terrain quality that I can get with this update just looks fantastic. Night flying is incredible.
The main issues in this update are scrambling of settings which is annoying but entirely correctable, and a dodgy first implementation of VR controllers. So just don’t use the controllers if they aren’t up to the level you need yet. It was explained in the live stream this was just a first version of them.
On top of that new planes, and new photogrammetry. There is a lot to like here.
