It has to do with the fact that we had the exact same discussion about „what does TIN mean?“ and „Why not use the term photogrammetry instead“ already in the past and was in reply to your previous „the person normally writing the changelog must have been on holidays“ remark. Well, wasn‘t that obvious… otherwise just take it as a FYI 
Personally I don‘t mind the term TIN too much (now that I know what it means from previous discussions), but agree that using „photogrammetry“ would be more consistent in using a more established term.
