The little TOGA button next to the throttle of the 172 G1000 NXI is missing

I am certain that the Cessna C172 does not have autothrottle. The fact that the key combination works incorrectly may be related to the fact that the simulated Cessna is really just an electronic version of itself.
What do you expect to find in a C172 G1000 ? A TOGA button ?! There’s none in real life.
On aircraft without autothrottle a GA switch simply puts the Flight Director in the go-around mode. Aircraft without autothrottle can have TOGA switches. Not sure if the C172 has one.
For a G1000 equipped C172 the TOGA button commands the G1000 FD to display a pitch up guide for climb out. Nothing to do with auto throttle which, as you correctly pointed out, the C172 doesn’t have.

Whaou! It’s not that common. Does this go-around button (that I’ve never seen in the several 172 G1000 that I flew in real) came with a avionic component that I’ve never had. Maybe GFC700 ? Will search Internet to find what is the purpose.
Edit. Found this : director settings to 7 degrees up, Auto-pilot disconnect, activate the missed approach procedure automatically
Yes, on models equipped with the GFC 700 autopilot system.

So this is not a bug since the C172 G1000 version in the sim is not equipped with this autopilot system right ?
A Google search suggests it’s part of the G1000 NXi and not necessarily part of an AP. It can disconnect the AP, if equipped, but has many other functions such as unsuspending nav, sequencing to the first WP of the missed approach procedure and setting a pitch up FD guide plus others.
Ok, but in that case not sure if all C172 G1000 NXi equipped have a TOGA button. Is that an optional feature on the real aircraft ?

While the software capability for go-arounds exists in all NXi systems, the physical button is standard equipment for the Cessna Nav III (G1000/NXi) airframe Configuration.
But in that case why @Vincent1064 that flew C172 G1000 IRL mentioned that he has not seen this button. I would tend to think that not all C172 G1000 are equipped with that functionality. Maybe something optional or that comes in the most recent versions ?
I’m not fortunate enough to fly real C172 NXi version! Only the plain old G1000
I have only flown one 172 that had TOGA and it was an N model with an STC. never pushed the button to see what it did or if it even worked. so I know 172s with them are out there. I would imagine the majority of 172s out there do not have a TOGA,not sure when they introduced it but I belive the ones in sim are 2020 or 2019 models.
Not all G1000 equipped C172s are NXi.
After more digging it seems that initially only the NXi with an optional AP selected included the TOGA button but more recently it’s become baseline NXi for the non AP functionality discussed above.
I’d say that addition of the TOGA button should be a wish list item instead of a bug as the default C172 would appear to be representative of aircraft available at the time.
The NXi software has always had all the TOGA functionality.
