I did a career medium cargo mission and changed the flight plan before launching the mission. The generated flight plan was trash and wasn’t the best way to reach point B from A. Well half way thru the flight it fails me with the message, “You went too far away from the flight plan”.
Why even give me the option to use the EFB if I can’t modify the flight plan?!?!
Have you filed the flight plan using the dedicated button after creating your own?
I did not do that, that could be the issue.
Similar issue here just now. 2 hours into a 3 hour flight. Flight plan was not changed, just “sent to avionics”. I’ve tried to give this sim a lot of slack, but I think I’ve had it. This is no where near release quality. Not even a warning, just “mission failure” and yes both the avionics and tablet agreed and showed as on track.
You need to file the new flight plan with ATC. Sending it to the avionics means nothing.
You are correct, this has solved the issue. However the EPG still wants to force you to follow the predefined flight plan. Look at the chart and everything that was removed is still there after taking off.
