Top Mach Studios: Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor

since we are talking about gear to fly the Raptor F-22 i think so.
Mods constantly warn this is not a support forum and most use like that when it should go to discord or support forums

So in the end, this topic is to talk anything related to the aircraft.

from a mod on this same topic:

“A reminder that the MSFS forums isn’t to be used for support or bug reporting of addons. Take these type of issues to the developer’s forum or website”

and thats all you see here - doesnt bother me at all, and it shouldnt bother you when people talk about gear or anything related.

Once you fly in VR, you never come back to flat screen…
Mainly at high speeds like in the F22, canyon racing is much more precise with VR.
Can fly at 500+ kts and make sharp high G turns with better anticipation.
I’ll try to make a video flying through Alps valeys, this plane is insane there ^^

Thats why i never tried! I use a 32" curved display and a 24" for flight plans etc…
Im sure that will change the whole experience, specially for jets like this.
quick question: how you are able to see controller you are using while flying?!
because im not using those that comes with some VR´s

With my hands
I know my set by heart so I don’t need to see it to know what i’m doing.

hahaha, but ■■■■ with so many buttons during a flight im going to need to get used.
One day, will save some $$$ to get a rudder and maybe that warthog! flying this Raptor with plastic is a waste… thanks for the replies.

Yes, as I wrot higher up in this thread, this plane is incredible. TMS did a really fine job and it was worth the wait.
It deserves a fine hotas with precise stick to get the best out of the flight model.
I admit there are a few bugs but nothing really annoying (for me) and I’m sure TMS team is doing its best to deliver an update with bug correction.

This is with the F-16 and T-45 on my top 3 jets. My favorite right now by a mile.

the X52 joystick is way too loose and im not going even mention the quadrant… just terrible.

Kinda ruin the experience, good gear for serious simmers are a must. Now just need the $$$

And yeah, bugs are completely common after launch. Updates exists for that.

Now back to the support/bugs topic

I tried again and did exactly what was recommended in the video.
I uninstalled the F-22, restarted the computer and reinstalled it.

1st flight with the non-FBW variant…it worked.
Then a second flight with the FBW variant…worked.
Then a flight with another plane…again no control.

At least I can fly the F-22 now. But after that I have to restart the simulator if I want to fly another plane.
But that’s not all.

I can also not start the sim and start directly with the FBW variant.
I have to do at least one flight with the NO-FBW, otherwise the control surfaces will not work even with the FBW variant.

What can I say ?
This is not a criticism of you at all.
I can see that all the developers are having “lots of fun” with this sim.
But personally I’m starting to hate the sim.
I now spend more time troubleshooting than flying.

Nobody can sell me that anymore.

You saw our post about a hotfix coming? We’re finishing testing. It will likely resolve these issues for you. Might be available as soon as tomorrow from Justflight.

@Dakfly0219 quick question: Throttle suppose to be the Throttle Axis using Joystick L- AXIS Z?
for this plane?

Thank you very much for the information.
I can live with the current situation, but if an update comes now, then all the better.

But I won’t stop ■■■■■■■■ at these Asobo people and their “update” policy.

I’m at the end of my patience.
With SU 10 they get the last chance to make a satisfied customer out of me.
If nothing works again, then I’m out for good.
I will no longer invest my lifetime in a product that is constantly being destroyed by so-called “updates”.

All the Best

I’m in the same situation. I’ve been trying with a VISA, don’t know if it has to do with VISA, but that is the card I always use. And I always get notified if they turn something down if they suspect fraud, which I haven’t. And I have used the CC on JF before.

With all the problems people are having. I will just wait for SU10 release and the kinks to be worked out. But I will buy it later. I too used the freeware version and had been waiting for this release.

I have VPC WarBRD base (with Warthog metal grip). Great combo, smooth as butter. That Virpil base was not much more expensive than Warthog base (which was piece of **** after some time). Highly recommended.

All this talk about Virpil I want to make sure people know about a couple of the other boutique joystick makers.

VKB US Store https://vkbcontrollers.com/

WinWing US Store WINWING

VKB has a good mid range lineup with their Gladiator NXT stick and addon modules, as well as their high end Gunfighter base and Modern Combat Grip that is only available on the Gunfighter.

I know less about WinWing but they have been putting out some nice looking stuff lately.

Both are close to the same quality as Virpil and all of them are miles ahead of the stuff from Logitech and Thrustmaster, but they come at a fairly high cost as well.

nice! thanks for sharing. My pockets cannot say the same though…
goign to check those out right now. Always looking for good gear makers.

do you happen to have anything from them?

nice, thanks for replying. Post a picture when you have a chance!
when the time comes, going to have a tough decisition to make,

I have the VKB Gladiator K this was a limited edition Gladiator MKII (the version before the NXT) with an upgrade kit that allowed changing grips and the Space Combat grip.
and their THQ throttle quadrant.

Both have been fantastic although I think I’ll eventually upgrade to their Gunfighter and their much anticipated TECS throttle whenever that comes out. I really want to fly the F-16 in DCS properly. My current joystick is up to the job but my throttle while usable is more geared to GA or warbird flying than a modern jet.

would love to see a picture is thats not asking much!
thanks for sharing, some pretty nice stuff, the ones you have looks pretty nice. Just from the website photos the finish looks top notch. The throttles are not that expensive. Now the joysticks…

they focus a lot on F-16/F-18… need some F-22 love as well unless they are almost the same.

The card I tried to use was also a Visa. I also did not receive a decline reason.

If you have paypal you can use that to purchase.

If you buy it now you can still fly the non fbw version and youll still get the updated one when its released.
