Tour of Japan ruined by horrible draw distances altitude 10000 ft

wow This would have been really cool if stuff looked cool…I guess if I kept flying around in circles to let stuff render completely but this is just horrible.

I wonder if the fact that alot of other people are doing the same thing at the same time somehow causes the whatever server we get scenery from to lag or whatever… I have more than capable PC for this not to happen, Infact Other cites dont look this bad , at all . I should add that after I over flew the areas it looked fine but I was at that point practically past them,

Its like Tim Burton designed this lol.

Yah and I also flew a long path along the Mississippi river today and no boats either , and I have traffic at 100 percent…

Microsoft is getting stingy with the watercraft.

i saw ONE on the Humber but none on the North Sea yesterday

Maybe all the boats are stuck in San Francisco , Ive noticed there are a bunch there and that LNG Tanker has been sitting by the Golden Gate bridge for weeks lol…

I flew Japan between 1500ft and 7000ft near Fuji mountain and landscapes were nice, no blur as on your shot
But no ships in harbours, that’s a fact

How is this possible that so many people have problems with the blurr at higher altitudes and others don’t?

I went on the community fly along in Japan earlier in the week, and did not see the pyramid shaped buildings. Then skyline of Tokyo looked amazing. I wonder what triggers this?

I normaly fly airliners and have no problem, regardings fps / performance (seetings high to ultra). Yesterday I flew the Japan tour with a good beginning (performance). But during the flight my fps went down and down (to 10fps nearing Fuji - when I canceled the flight). It says main thread is the issue, which I didn’t get any flight before. As I said, I normaly have no performance issues at all.

I think there’s some memory leak or problem how MSFS is handling the CPU.

Also getting horrible draw distance in the king air or Airbus. I can fly right up to the waterfront in San Francisco before the high rises start drawing correctly. This was not how it was week 1. Also getting this in San Diego. I have had SF manually cached since week 1 but SD is not. Both have the same results.

Madrid Here, bings maps ON ultra settings 180 scaling texture

same here, but they will tell you that we are bad or that it is our thing.

I believe that in this forum there are people who are paid by asobo. The game is totally different from the last patch.

Graphically it’s horrible now

yes , I don’t understand this change, I’m very frustrated

Me too. Recognized it with the Japan tour flight. Don’t really know how it was before, since I fly airliners mainly (you know, high alts, clouds, etc.)

Affects my enjoyment more at low level.

I finally decided to redo something I did in week 1. Took the icon a5 from KOAK and fly at 1000-1500 ft across the water to San Francisco. It’s really evident that the game is somehow gating my draw distance for buildings and scenery. I have the sliders both to 200.

I was getting FPS of ~38 (mix of high and ultra now) vs what I believe was ~23 (high defaults). So yea they improved my FPS but they killed the best part about this sim.

exactly, you are right in everything

Draw distance from higher altitude was addressed in the last dev Q&A…

Those triangle shapes do look terrible! :see_no_evil:
