I think you are talking about two different things.
The TrackIR software hasn’t changed in years (current version is 5.4.2.27545), you can check which version you have by clicking on the Question Mark icon at the top left of the TrackIR screen.
It’s true however that the Supported Titles List is updated constantly, and updates appear as a little reminder on the top right of the TrackIR screen.
There’s has been one of latter updates a couple of days ago, but the software itself hasn’t been updated in years (it’s Copyright 2015 
).
