Traffic flies slower then normal

It seems the traffic on route is flying real slow. I’m passing them quite easy… I am using the Alpha India Traffic for a while now. but this Issue is new to me?

This is a known issue with AIG, not a sim bug.

Exactly what do you mean, “this is a known issue with AIG”?

I’m curious on what information you’re basing this on.

I would counter that it well know that Ai behavior isn’t something third party devs can address as it is tied to the Sim’s Ai logic.

Well, this came from AIG, so I presume they know what they are talking about.
It is in response to several posts on the [AIG AI Manager OCI for MSFS – Development Announcement] thread.

Using LittleNavMap, I can see the groundspeed of the AI aircraft cruising in the flight levels. They seem really low, and it’s not because of winds aloft. Speeds around 200-250 kts for every commercial jet aircraft. Should be 400-550 kts depending on the winds. For example, my current ground speed in the CJ4 is 474 kts at FL430, and the Delta 757 following behind me is 205 kts at FL410. A 757 should be closer to 500 kts. There’s something wrong with these cruise speeds.

This was the first time I noticed it. And it wasn’t just that one 757, it was all the commercial aircraft as far as I could tell (per LNM). Later in the flight I blew past a Southwest 737 that was showing 211 kts groundspeed. I would believe it based on how fast I passed it (260 kt closure). Yeah, when I do another flight, I’ll see if the issue repeats.

I think there could be some kind of a “shift” between the numbers and what happens in the game. We have the same thing for take offs where the realistic speed value is being reached and you can see a very short take off roll. The same thing could apply to cruise speed. Maybe we need to put something extra on top of realistic speeds in order to generate the right visual effect.

Issue is within the internal Sim, comtent by AIG uses real World values in the cfg files. Using the same SimObject for live traffic works just fine regarding speeds ->no AIG issue

Yes, I concur Kaiii3, not an AIG issue, but an issue with MSFS AI aircraft in general.

Non clue, we as AIG have done our Tests and it seems AI System related.
