I have installed MS Flight via Xbox Pass on my PC and have set about completing the training missions …
Q’s
The default training missions are fairly basic, i.e. the passenger jet missions are just to Take Off and Land, and fail to take you through the entire start up/ATC Procedure. Where can i find downloadable Mods/Files that will teach me the full process?
With regards to MODS, please can you suggest the ‘Must Have’ top 10 of mods to get me started and where to find them.
Is there a specific program that i need to download and install to manage the various MODS i wish to apply?
Please advise of any MS Clans willing to take a new pilot?
Lastly, I have installed MS Flight via my Xbox acc. is this ok, or am i better purchasing and installing the game via Microsoft for MOD compatibility etc…
I have created this topic for you from another post. As you have multiple questions, I have created this into the User Support Hub User Support Hub in Miscellaneous Miscellaneous
I’ve also advanced your Trust Level to 1 so that you are able to create new topics.
YouTube is really good for learning training and procedures
Everyone will be different but my personal favourite mods are Navigraph & Little Nav Map (both for navigation), Volanta for log book and FSTL to inject real live traffic (by flybywire who also do the excellent A320). YouTube in the background running local ATC.
Flightsim.to website is great for free add on scenery & aircraft, Flight Sim Marketplace (or the developers own website) for paid add ons. Downloaded add-on files normally go in to Community folder.
I think you have to get it through Xbox account nowadays on PC??? This won’t affect your ability to add mods & add ons.
In addition to what @Ariana2022UK said above, there are a few more suggestions:
Default training missions: Have a look at the three [OFFICIAL] Twitch Flying Lessons in Community Guides.
Top 10 of mods: @Baracus250 has made a couple of spreadsheets listing these:

Is there a specific program that i need to download and install to manage the various MODS i wish to apply? Addons Linker is a popular choice, and can be downloaded for free from the Flightsim.to website.
Please advise of any MS Clans willing to take a new pilot? I suggest looking in Friends, Clubs & Groups. Virtually all groups are very happy to see new pilots! You can also join one of the scheduled multiplayer flights shown in the Community Events calender.

For PCs, MSFS works exactly the same irrespective of whether you purchased from the Microsoft Store or Steam, or installed using the Xbox App or Microsoft Store (which appears no longer to be possible, according to some reports). As @Ariana2022UK says, this won’t affect your ability to add mods & add ons.
