Nils is the dev. I’m just a beta tester. He’s done Spain, France, UK, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and Austria
So glad this expanded beyond Switzerland! It’s now on my shopping list.
How do we become a beta tester?
Take my money already!
Hello, here is a short update. Now the Addon runs with WASM and don`t requiere a EXE file.
I updated the train models, I still have some issues I`m working on.
-Performance needs improvement.
-Floating and sunken trains: Problem are the PG Terian wich the train cant caputure the terreain heigt. Real hight from other sources dont match with the SIM height.
I realised I can`t make it perfect, but good enoough for VFR flights, its not a train spotting simulator and there will be some small flaws.
I tried out the Zurich and Hamburg trial versions yesterday and was thrilled; I didn’t notice any significant performance drops in VR, and the draw distance is excellent! I can see the trains from further away than the cars or ships. Great!
Thanks, Those are really old Builds you testet. With the EXE the performance was good. Now with WASM lets see
With WASM it also would work on xbox and PS5 I guess. And it dont requiere an exe file which maybe more people perfer.
Thats absolutely the right approach as far as I’m concerned and I truly hope no one starts complaining that some of the trains aren’t 100% accurate replicas. This project is a gigantic step forward in adding immersion to the sim and is on a par with things like GAIST and FSLTL. You deserve to go down in flight sim history for what you’re doing!
I’m very confused. Is your new version available anywhere for us? The last update on flightsim.to shows a month ago as do the files in the link you showed previously.
As I understand it Nils has withdrawn the early versions he made available via flightsim.to while he developed the project into other countries. I think he has some people doing some testing for him but I’ve no idea how many. He’s moving towards a commercial release (he’s invested a lot of time and energy into this) and I guess might make some small areas available for free so that people can take a no risk look. However I’ve no inside information so I could be very wrong!
Hello
Yes I have some BETA testers. A hand full.
My plan/goal is to make a “small” area a free version which you can test for free with all the trains. Pro version which will cost a very small amount for a affordable price.
I decided I want to force on a WSM version now, which is only a single folder for each country.
I also have a full time job, and i work sometimes abroad for several days, where I can`t develop.
And i spent alrealy severy hundreds hours on it. two steps forwards, one back. New bugs coming all the time.
Please be patient. Then I will publish here a “Swiss WASM version” to test for everyone.
I don`t want to rush and release something bad which will give me a bad reputation.
Hello Nils
Thank you for this very good news.
I am looking forward to the future Wasm Suisse and Pro versions.
Your work is really impressive. It gives a real huge plus to this great simulation.
Sounds great!
You mentioned somewhere that the exe allowed settings like train density etc. How will this be handled in the exe-less version? Will there be an integrated panel with settings?
Amazing! Any ETA on launch?
I am very much interested in this project. I will happily buy it when it’s complete, just wish USA could be imcluded. I understand that data may not be available, but even fictional routes would add a lot to immersion. Just to see trains like the Silverton Express in Colorado snaking around the side of mountains would be so cool. Anyway, looking forward to seeing a finished product.
Will you have the multiple trains it takes to get up to Jungfrau from Interloken?
Super, really very beautiful and immersive ![]()
Thanks for your continued engagement and updates. Most of us can imagine the kind of work involved. Also a day 1 purchase from me, just based on all I’ve read here ![]()
Great work. is there any chance for a MSFS 2020 version ?
