Transfer MSFS from C drive to another drive

PC MSFS Prem Delux disc version used.
My MSFS is installed on my PC ‘C’ drive (with Win 10) but I am running out of space.
However I have community folder on a separate ‘E’ Drive with a
lot of add ons linked to it using Add on Linker from another ‘F’ drive.F drive is very big storage

How do I move MSFS from C to F drive? I understand there may be problems just moving it because MS have encryption linking it to its original installed drive?
Thankyou for any assistance

Moved to Self Service #self-service:pc-hardware

I should have added all the other MS files are still on C but the Community and One Store folders are on E (linked with F)

If your on steam, you can right click on the game pull up the maintenance menu and select move to another drive, and steam will move it for you no problem Ive done it a couple of times. As for the ms store version dont have it so I cant advise you on that one.

I have disc version but thankyou anyway

Having the OneStore and Community folder already on a separate drive, there’s not much to gain, tbh. Maybe 5GB or something.

My C drive is only 100gb and only 10gb left on it.
I realise comm folder and one store on different drive (1tb) have big files but thought moving remainder of msfs on c with them
would be better- esp as msfs updates pending

But those updates are mostly (if not all) to the Onestore folder. The core component always has been around 3.5 GB. You should be able to move that via the Windows store. As for the settings (In localappdata) I’m not too sure you will be able to move that.

I’ve done it but I can still see it in my drive C

How do I do this?

The core component always has been around 3.5 GB. You should be able to move that via the Windows store.

Did the drive size go down, if I remember it leaves part of the dir structure after the move. Go to the drive you moved it to and find the *.exe file.

Anybody any idea how to transfer just the MSFS files - excluding community and onestore folders - from C drive to the drive the Community and Onestore folders are stored on?

I have the store version and I had moved to another disk

(I have the Italian windows … I hope the commands are understandable)
press Win+X
select “App and Functons”
select “Microsoft Flight Simulator”
select “Move”

Thanks.Ill try it

Yo Specular, did this work?? If so, did you have to select “Move apps downloadable content” (or whatever) to get the big files to move?

I went to a FS meeting last week and a guy there - who seemed to know a lot about IT - told me NOT to move the MSFS C base software as it would mess up the unstallation. Moving Community and One Store - as i have already done - not an issue.
So I chickened out and have left it.
