After I have created an IFR flight plan, I sometimes get a message from ATC during the flight that the transponder is not active or switched on, even though I have set “no transponder” in the EFB.
I believe the lack of a transponder drastically limits which airspace’s your could fly in. I would suspect you are either flying in an airspace where it would be mandatory for a transponder, or the sim is programmed to take a simple approach of making transponder required for IFR regardless of the airspace you fly in.
Thank you for your report. Strangely enough, I no longer get this message since I entered the flight plan via planner.flightsim.com and changed some settings regarding ATC.
