Hi!
Could someone please explain the hotkeys related to the transponder (XPNDR)?
By the way, Im flying a Cessna 172.
There is no hotkey for changing the the state of the transponder (OFF/SBY/ON/ALT)?!?
Transponder [t] : “Sequentially selects the transponder digits to use with +/-.”
I cant get this one to work. Not for Cessna or how should I use it?
Set Transponder [shift + alt + w] : “Set transponder code (BCD)”
Not sure how this one is supposed to work either.
All help appreciated.
BCD = Binary Coded Decimal…something for custom controllers , I guess.
Traditionally, you would press “t” for the first digit in the transponder code, “tt” for the second etc… and when selected, use the keys “plus” and “minus” (can be assigned to controller buttons) to set the number (0-9) for that digit. I find setting the transponder using the mouse a faster alternative.
Thanks I’ll try that. I’m actually building a custom transponder unit, though I need a way to assign the state rotary switch (off/standby/on/alt). Can’t find a way to do it with fsuipc and there doesn’t seem to be a way ingame either. Might be its not implemented yet, or I might be missing something.
I’ve managed to set COM frequency from Plan-G 3.2.2 connected to FS2020 using FSUIPC7. Plan-G has a radio stack: http://www.tasoftware.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=2459.0
There’s also a Alpha version of Plan-G that works with FS2020 Simconnect. You have to register at their forum to download the Alpha.
